April 24... 7pm posting!!!

     Ok, hopefully I won't be posting at 7pm too often. But it's here now so deal with it!!! LOL! I have some goodies for you this time

     This is Drifter... Like you can't read. I'm getting a feel for a couple of characters for a future project.... Should be fun.

     I was warming up with some inks... This is an original work(or at least a crop of) from Ian Snyder of Big Dog Ink. And  On his Deviantart. I'm going to be working on this from time to time. It helps me focus and also get good control of the tablet and pen.

     This is an original I'm working on for a Drifter piece(see the references). I was given a bunch of references. The hair on the bottom and the suit on the top caught my eye. Check out the Urban30 webpage!! You won't be sorry. But you'll see this as it progress to the almost finished stage... Finished products only go on my Deviantart and the official nF8th Studio page. I'm also doing some tattoo designs that I can't show... But know that I'm doing some work.

No post on yesterday!!!! You were doing so good!

     Sorry about no post on yesterday. I just got  my lappie back, so I had no time to put things together for your viewing pleasure. Without my mcu(mobile command unit) I was not able to do much work, but I did squeeze out a couple pen sketches.

On these I'm working on a card for someone's birthday. The second one is the layout. You may or may not be able to tell what's happening.

"FANGS" logo I made. Top is so you can see it a little better, the bottom so you can see it closer.

New direction with the nF8th Studio logo. This is my original idea for the logo. I couldn't find the original sketch so I drew it again. I think this time it's even better than the first time.

Tango being knocked down. I'm going to work more on this scene. It's the beginning of a story arch so it will be drawn a couple of times. I wanted to get it out of my head so that's the first. I'm going to refine it second and when I actually draw the arch I will redraw it a third time. 

An old character of mine deserves a redesign, since he was one of my first comic characters and he actually was the first to be published. The original art for the publication was drawn by an artist I commissioned and of course written and lettered by me.

This is wizard I'm working on for a mural I'm doing for a friend and client. Just getting it out of my head. Lots of fleshing to go both with him and the scene he's going to be in. 

You can say I was trying to stay busy. 

Now this piece is something I was working on prior to losing the mcu only one person has seen this and I hope he feels special. Still got some tightening up to do, but I like the way it's heading. Hope you do too.

Why!!!

Because I really don't have anything to show.... But I did want to keep track of my log on days. I don't have access to my equipment so I have not been able to work on anything since Thursday.... I can't wait to get back to something artistic!!!

So its like 2 weeks and 1 day later.

Some how I manage to miss last week...... And yesterday. Honestly I thought to day was yesterday and today would be tomorrow, so in my head I'm right on time...... Ok, seriously not on time at all. Sorry about the late post. You would think by now I'd have a ton of work to show(at least a weeks worth), but I can't seem to locate some of the work I was working on... Too many "works". And I was doing the "super secret project" that I featured in the last post, but I can't find where I saved it. I should have left it in the lappie, but I moved a lot of old(and what seems to be new) pieces to my either my external hd or my thumb drive. It's so much work on them that it will take a while to find, so I'll start over. Practice makes perfect anyway and I only got 2 more days to get me character in the Enter Void contest.

Should I push it out or realize I have no time to enter an open competition site? Anywho! Here's some work that you may or may not have seen.

This is an ink job I did on one of my favorite artist's work.

She didn't finish it and I wanted to see how my inks look on her work. I think she liked it, but she plans to re-do the image since this is dated and we are going to officially collaborate on the new piece, Yay!

I should have more work to show you nexttime... I hope. I keep forgetting that I'm working on things that I can't show here right now. And I'm sketching more so I'll try not to post it to my  facebook or the studio facebook, so you'll have even more reason to check out the blog(besides reading me ramble).

Be sure to check out nF8th Studio's new artist Torrance Reed. He is such a breath of fresh air and he keeps me motivated to draw something daily. The cool part it's not a competition type motivation it's a "that's right I need to draw today" motivation.

The 13 go Marching in!!!

So, I've successfully started my (nF8th) Studio Facebook page over at (nF8th) Studio

    And by now I hope you've seen it. Lots have gone on since you last seen this blogspot so you'll get a couple of w.i.p.s you may have seen.... Like this cover pic I'm working on for the page...

But here's a super secret project I'm working on..... "BLOGSPOT, EXCLUSIVE!!" ...

  

     This is something I'm working on for the entervoid.com open enrollment contest going on. Sorry for the horrible pics, but (nF8th) Studio home office is down right now. All I have is the Mobile Command Unit(MCU) running right now(my lappie incase you're not down with the lingo). But I am transferring them to digital so that may be your next updates.  

    I also got some logo and tattoo designs going, but I won't be able to show you those because it's client confidentiality. Sorry! -___- 

But as you can see I'm fighting to get (nF8th) Studio launched and rockin'!!!

Huge sketch upload... I'm a little backed up on the scanning and uploading so here is almost a weeks worth of sketches.

This on was done while watch a tutorial vid... I'll have to revisit the tutorial because I can't duplicate the technique quite yet.... Practice make perfect... Or as perfect as I'm going to get it.
